College Recruiting: 2013 RB Derrick Green Has Three SEC Schools in His Final Six

Virginia running back Derrick Green has narrowed his list to six schools and three of them are in the SEC— Tennessee, Auburn, and Ole Miss. At one point the Georgia Bulldogs were thought to be a possible school of choice, but the late nature of their offer (the Bulldogs reached out to Green in mid-July, shortly after the dismissal of Isaiah Crowell) likely didn’t help their cause much.

Georgia is still hoping to snag Alvin Kamara, who is said to be high on the Bulldogs, and perhaps get a visit from the recently de-committed Greg Bryant who has expressed an interest in playing in the SEC. Other schools in the running include Virginia Tech, Michigan, and Oregon.
