Despite being medically cleared by NFL doctors, the media conversation surrounding former Georgia Bulldogs’ linebacker Jarvis Jones’ spinal stenosis (a condition he reportedly never had in the first place), coupled with his decision not to perform at the NFL Combine last month, has seemingly caused the talented linebacker to drop on a few draft boards. However, a strong performance at his pro day this week could erase a lot of the remaining doubts.
Jones, along with a bevy of other UGA players, is expected to return to the University of Georgia this Thursday for its Pro Day.There Jones will be expected to do all of the things NFL scouts hoped to see him execute at the Combine; if he performs well, he could see his stock climb up the ladder again, but if he does poorly, he could slide even further down the wrung (some draftniks already have him lasting deep into the first round; something I consider an impossibility if he performs even half as well as I think he will).
The Pro Day activities will be streamed live on ESPN3. Check your local listings for times.
