2013 commit Brendan Langley is capping off a stellar defensive season for Kell High School by winning an impressive postseason honor.
On Sunday, the Kell High School defensive back was named the Cobb Defensive Player of the Year by The Marietta Daily Journal.
Langley, who had six interceptions on the season, led the Longhorns to a 10-2 record, the Region 7-AAAAA title and a second-round appearance in the Class AAAAA playoffs.
“Defensively, he’s a shutdown corner,” Kell coach Derek Cook told the newspaper. “Any ball that’s thrown his way, 50 percent of them he’s going to catch.”
Langley is set to enroll at Georgia in January.
